In 1 John, we’re called to be careful to live for the things that last, and to not let ourselves be pushed and pulled by materialism and pride. Whether you live in a palace or in poverty, live for a legacy in Christ. It is better to be in the heart of God’s will than to be in the heart of the world’s will.
